About This Course
The N4 Short Course at Japan Dream Academy is designed for beginners who wish
to gain a foundational understanding of the Japanese language. This course
focuses on the basics of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding
Japanese, making it ideal for students aiming to achieve the N4 level of the
Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). The course includes practical
language skills, essential grammar, and vocabulary needed for everyday
communication in Japan.
Course’s Objectives
The primary objective of the N4 Short Course is to provide students with a
solid foundation in the Japanese language, equipping them with the essential
skills needed for everyday communication. The course aims to introduce
learners to the basics of the language, focusing on the fundamental grammar,
vocabulary, and sentence structures that form the building blocks of
Japanese. In addition to language proficiency, the course seeks to
familiarize students with the Japanese writing systems, including Hiragana,
Katakana, and basic Kanji characters. Another key objective is to prepare
students for the N4 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT),
ensuring they are well-prepared to pass the exam. The course also strives to
enhance students’ cultural understanding by incorporating elements of
Japanese customs and etiquette, helping them gain a deeper appreciation of
the language within its cultural context.
Learning Outcomes
- 1. Recognize and use approximately 300 kanji characters and 1,000
vocabulary words commonly used in daily life.
- 2. Read and write simple sentences using Hiragana, Katakana, and basic
Kanji characters.
- 3. Understand and use basic grammatical structures for forming simple
sentences in Japanese.
- 4. Participate in everyday conversations at a basic level, including
greetings, shopping, ordering food, and asking for directions.
- 5. Demonstrate a foundational understanding of Japanese culture and
etiquette.
- 6. Confidently approach the N4 level of the JLPT exam, with the skills
necessary to pass the test.
